Overview:
The Lawson programmer analyst collaborates with other developers, administrators, business, functional and technical teams, crafting information system enhancements and modifications. This includes the development and delivery of technical designs built on proven standards that result in robust, high performing and scalable applications. The programmer analyst performs hands-on development, testing and implementation in addition to continuous system improvements to deliver increased operational efficiencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day support to the business and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
Provide hands on analysis, design, testing, implementation and post-implementation support.
Utilizes SMEs and personal knowledge of the business area and applies technical expertise to determine appropriate solutions to satisfy functional gaps.
Analyzes change requests to determine feasibility in relation to existing business requirements, processes and data models.
Works with project leadership in determining design approach, estimating/planning, setting technical direction and identifying necessary resources for a project.
Interfaces with vendors during project and production support activities.
Excellent listening, verbal, written and presentation skills
Self-starter, "can-do" attitude in a fast-moving business environment
Be able to, with minimal guidance, self-manage workload prioritizations while addressing multiple in-flight work items.
Ability to drive recommendations to implementation
Strong understanding of software development life cycle as well as both waterfall and agile development methodologies

BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Hands-on development and production support experience for Lawson Financials and purchasing modules (GL, AP, Invoicing, PO, Fixed Assets and Contract Management) in a Windows environment with various toolsets and development methodologies.
Experience supporting Lawson v10
Mingle experience (Version 10)
Experience supporting MHC/Document Express
Lawson administration experience
1+ years designing and developing custom programs, interfaces and reports for these modules to meet the business requirements.
Knowledge of Lawson security and administration
Recommends appropriate solutions utilizing Lawson Process Flow; Lawson Business Intelligence (LBI); screen modifications; interfaces; and custom screens, programs and tables.
Utilize Lawson functionality whenever possible to minimize the need for customizations.
Write and maintain process flows (IPA)
Prepare and maintain documentation and training materials to support modifications.
Thoroughly test all modifications and coordinate user acceptance testing.
Participates in change management process.
Strong Micro Focus Cobol with embedded SQL programming experience
Develop and maintain Lawson web pages using process automation, html, java / java script, process flows, design studio forms, or portal pages.
Experience with Windows shell scripting, Java, HTML, XML and XLST required.
Since our database is Oracle, candidate must have strong SQL knowledge
Hands-on experience developing database triggers, indexes, constraints, materialized views, etc.
Ability to trouble-shoot and resolve application performance issues using explain plans and other debugging techniques.
Experience with GitHUB, TOAD, SQL Developer, Hudson/Jenkins preferred
Understanding of SDLC, waterfall, and Agile application design and development
