Job description

We are hiring a Material Quality Associate who is responsible for the incoming inspection of assemblies and production components.   

Essential Functions: 

  • Perform inspection (visual, mechanical, electrical) of product assemblies and raw components 
  • Compile component/material kits and documentation for manufacturing builds 
  • Distribute documentation and materials to manufacturing and engineering personnel 
  • Data entry for quality, component, and production related items 
  • Compiling, scanning, and organizing quality, component, and production related data 

Core Competencies: 

  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to communicate proficiently 
  • Well organized 
  • Ability to multi-task 

Preferred Experience: 

  • Inventory, stock or warehouse control experience 
  • Ability to read blueprints 
  • Experience using hand tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, etc.) 

Work Environment: 

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and various kinds of stationary and hand-held inspection equipment.  

Physical Demands: 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

  • The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, twist and reach above his/her head. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  
  • The employee must be able to handle inspecting small to medium sized materials and products.  
  • The employee is required to regularly use a microscope to inspect small parts. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position.  Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. 


Required Education and Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

 

Preferred Education and Experience: 

  • Incoming Inspection and/or inventory control/management
