Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients’ mental health needs, utilizing tools like the DSM to inform diagnosis and care planning.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that respect cultural diversity and address the unique needs and conditions of each patient.
• Monitor patient progress continually and adjust treatment interventions as necessary, ensuring relevance and effectiveness in addressing mental health conditions.
• Document all required treatment records accurately and timely, following current technology protocols in compliance with health regulations and departmental standards.
• Foster collaboration among patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care strategies that align with patient goals and outcomes.
• Facilitate referrals and resources, effectively linking patients to treatment options and building strong relationships with referral agencies and professionals.
• Serve as a mentor for students and interns, providing guidance and education to prepare future professionals in the field.
• Engage in peer review and clinical discussions with supervisory guidance to enhance team competencies and encourage professional development among colleagues.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will primarily focus on individuals and families impacted by cancer. Your expertise will support patients as they navigate the emotional and psychological challenges that accompany a serious diagnosis. The position demands sensitivity and understanding, allowing you to create a safe space for patients to express their feelings, cope with stress, and work towards healing.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Current State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in hospice or palliative care settings is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to enhance patient care.
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation practices.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, reflecting experience and expertise.
