Job description

Claims Express Associate

The Claims Express Associate will work in a team environment to deliver world-class service to auto insurance customers using a variety of available automated processes. This is a great opportunity for an eager person who thrives in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Work in a team environment managing voice and e-mails from customers with active claims.
  • Review files assigned to the Express channel to ensure that the case meets the Express handling criteria. If not, transfer the claim to the Property Damage Unit.
  • Assist callers with setting up vehicle inspection appointments, and approving and answering rental questions.
  • Dispatch or reschedule vehicles to the field, shop or VET unit when applicable.
  • Refer complaints or concerns related to the appraisal to the appropriate unit for handling.
  • If applicable, use ISO and Lexis Nexis to identify carriers for subrogation.
  • Review and document police reports and identify potential injuries.
  • Review estimates and input payments.
  • Ensure that the proper compliance letters are sent.
  • Assist with processing incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Assist with special projects.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of customer service or insurance background preferred
  • Analytical and problem-resolution skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Products (WORD, EXCEL, Outlook, and Internet).
  • Working knowledge of Claims Pro and Image Right preferred
  • Strong knowledge of customer service techniques and processes
  • Ability to perform with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High School Diploma required
Salary

The pay range for this position is $40,000 to $45,500 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on multiple factors, including employee knowledge and experience, role scope, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
