Job description

Afternoon Express Associate

Heathwood Hall Episcopal School believes that each employee makes a significant contribution to its success. That contribution should not be limited by the assigned responsibilities.

Therefore, this position description is designed to outline primary duties, qualifications and job scope, but not limit the incumbent nor the organization to just the work identified. It is our expectation that each employee will offer his/her services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our endeavors.

POSITION SUMMARY

Heathwood Hall Episcopal School is seeking caring, energetic, and reliable part-time staff members to our program. The program serves children ages 2 to 14 in a safe, fun, and engaging environment.

Reports To: Director of Extended Programs, Chris McDuffie

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:15p-6:00p, at least three days per week

Pay: $12.00/hour

Essential Duties
  • Creating a safe, caring learning environment for students after school
  • Maintaining a structured schedule that includes time for snack, homework assistance, fun activity, and free time
  • Taking attendance
  • Keeping detailed sign-out records to ensure students are picked up by an approved individual
  • Preparing snacks
  • Planning activities and crafts
  • Supervising and engaging with students and ensuring a safe, positive environment
Specific Job Skills

  • Have strong communication skills
Working Conditions
  • Expansive school campus with 122+ acres, must be able to travel between buildings independently.
