Job description

• Coordinate air export shipments from the gateway facility, including booking cargo space, arranging pick-ups, and coordinating with carriers and airlines
• Ensure compliance with export regulations and documentation requirements
• Prepare and verify air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, export licenses, and other export documentation
• Facilitate customs clearance, file export declarations, and obtain necessary permits or certificates
• Monitor shipment movement from the gateway facility to the destination airport and provide status updates
• Address transit issues or delays and implement corrective actions
• Serve as the primary client contact for shipment status, transit times, and documentation requirements
• Liaise with freight carriers, ground handlers, customs brokers, and service providers
• Negotiate rates and terms with suppliers
• Conduct quality checks on cargo packaging, labeling, documentation, and shipment data
• Identify process improvements and implement best practices and quality standards in air export operations

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, international business, or a related field preferred
  • Additional certifications in freight forwarding or customs brokerage are advantageous
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding, air export operations, or international logistics
  • Specific experience in air freight preferred
