Job Description:

Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. We are seeking an Export Compliance Specialist to join the F-35 JPO program in Arlington, VA.

The F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) supports development, acquisition, fielding, modernization, and sustainment of the F-35 joint strike fighter. The F-35 JPO Security Directorate provides full spectrum multi-disciplined security support to protect F-35 technology and information across its enterprise and throughout the acquisition and sustainment lifecycle. This includes providing advice and services for programmatic security measures that deny unauthorized access to F-35 facilities, equipment, and resources, and protect personnel, information, and property from damage and/or loss of technology.

The Export Compliance Specialist will assist the Government in facilitating export-related policy activities. These include preparing and coordinating presentations for committee review, interacting with applicable interagency partners for export licenses, and interpreting and maintaining export-related documentation.

Specific duties include:

  • Coordinate across the JPO enterprise and other Government agencies to ensure a National Disclosure Policy (NDP) compliant air system is certified for export to international partners
  • Review and provide recommendations on F-35 export licenses to ensure international participation remains within U.S. Government policy guidelines

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree and 10 years of experience or a BS and 14 years are required
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) licensing applications and review process.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of aircraft programs and systems
  • Secret clearance

The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
