This position is responsible for managing the day to day orders and customer service, for an assigned region. This is an entry level position geared towards advancement to the Export Specialist position.

What you'll do as an Export Analyst: 

  • Process customer orders, by coordinating with suppliers, procurement, warehouse personnel, logistics companies and freight forwarders.
  • Prepare quotations for current customers interested in new McLane Foodservice products.
  • Negotiate freight rates with forwarding companies, to obtain optimal rates.
  • Research export laws that pertain to the assigned region, to ensure McLane Foodservice is meeting all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Properly execute drafts for payment at sight and manage documentation requests of letters of credit, to ensure prompt collection.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as ax Export Analyst: 

  • 2 years of work experience, preferably in export field or logistics
  • PC proficiency (MS Word, Excel). Ten-key by touch preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize when confronted with competing objectives.
  • Bi-lingual preferred.
  • This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
