Job description

JOBSUMMARY

Expo is responsible for ensuring all food orders are prepared within a timely manner, according to Guest special requests, and Ruby Tuesday recipes. Communicates with service and heart of house teams to expedite all food deliveries for TueGo/Catering, dining room, and bar areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Utilize the Kitchen Display System (KDS) effectively to maintain the flow of service, control cost/waste, and prepare items to spec and accommodate guest modifications
Ensure the highest quality preparation and presentation of food items; confirms hot food is hot and cold food is cold.
Organize the table orders in the expo area according to the tickets.
Complete specific side work and station maintenance.
Responsible for the set-up, cleanliness, and organization of the work area before, during, and after every shift.
Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
Manage the preparation of all re-cooks and special-order requests, including allergen orders.
Expedite the service of food for TueGo, Catering, dining room, and bar areas.
Maintain a gracious, pleasant and friendly attitude, while contributing to a teamwork-based work environment.
Support the service team in a way as to create new and repeat business and avoid guest complaints.
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years old
No prior work experience required
Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service.
Ability to understand and comply with proper food handling and serving techniques and with federal, state and local serving regulations.
Ability to operate a computer, phone and other office equipment.
Attention to details with good organizational and efficient time management skills.
Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires regular attendance; requires the ability to stand or walk for hours at a time; frequently required to hear, speak, walk, crawl, climb, stand, reach, bend, balance, kneel, stoop, lift and carry items up to 50 lbs; requires ability to tolerate significant changes in temperature, and frequent immersion of hands in water and cleaning or sanitizing solutions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
