About the Role
Location: Remote
As employee number one in our HVAC vertical, you will help build this important part of the company's future. You'll develop, manage and expand our core and enterprise partnerships with medium and large HVAC contractors across the country.
Key Responsibilities
  • Source, sell to, and onboard initial commercial HVAC contractors. Identify strong partners working in the commercial HVAC space, effectively communicate the value of Sunstone's solutions to them and manage their review and onboarding process
  • Develop the contractor partnership to ensure a significant flow of loan volume. Integrate Sunstone's loan products into the partner's sales processes, train partner's sales teams and maintain relationships with partner leadership
  • Partner with HVAC manufacturers, distributors, buying groups and associations to generate contractor and loan pipelines and joint GTM strategies
  • Advise product, underwriting and operations teams on refinements based on partner and contractor feedback

Qualifications
  1. 5+ years in HVAC revenue roles (sales, business development, etc). Some experience selling or using financial products strongly preferred
  2. Proven track record in strategic partnerships and channel management (OEMs, Distributors, Contractors)
  3. Willingness to travel at least 40% of the time
  4. Experience launching or scaling new products or verticals; strong acumen in SMB lending and equipment finance
  5. Data-operator with executive presence and credibility with senior leadership
  6. Builder mentality: demanding, collaborative, adaptable, mission-aligned
