Job description

Position Summary

Provide is hiring a hands-on Field Technician to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot landfill gas (LFG) collection systems in the field. This is a turn-wrenches, solve-problems outdoor role — calibrations, preventative maintenance, flare monitoring, pump work — for someone who likes staying busy and getting paid for every hour of it. Oil & gas or other mechanical field maintenance background is a strong fit. No LFG experience required — if you've maintained equipment in the field, they'll train you on the gas side.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain landfill gas (LFG) collection systems
  • Perform calibrations and preventative maintenance on mechanical and outdoor systems
  • Monitor and maintain LFG flares
  • Troubleshoot and fine-tune LFG system performance; occasional field engineering support
  • Conduct explosive gas monitoring and surface emissions monitoring
  • Pull, clean, and service submersible pumps
  • Conduct groundwater, leachate, and condensate sampling
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and accurate field documentation

What Makes a Great Fit

  • Mechanical, technical, and problem-solving skills — you can diagnose, not just follow a checklist
  • Oil & gas, construction, or other field maintenance experience preferred
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and putting in long consecutive hours
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Understanding of materials, methods, and tools used on job sites

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Clean driving record (company vehicle provided)
  • Flexible schedule and willingness to travel extensively, including occasional last-minute trips
  • Construction or related field experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • $25–$30/hr with substantial overtime — most technicians clear $65K+
  • All travel costs covered: company car, hotels, and food allowance
  • Generous paid time off — holidays, vacation, and sick leave
  • Comprehensive insurance: health, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Annual incentive bonus program
  • Professional development, training, and continuing education reimburseme
