Job Description

Experian is looking for a Director, Standards Strategy & Engagement to help shape the future of digital identity, trust, security, fraud prevention, and agentic commerce. Reporting to the Innovation leadership team, you will lead Experian's participation in industry standards organizations and emerging trust ecosystems. Providing strategic intelligence, influencing industry direction, and partnering across teams. You will ensure Experian remains at the forefront of industry innovation.

You'll have opportunity to:

  • Represent Experian in important industry standards organizations shaping digital identity, trust, security, privacy, and AI-enabled commerce.
  • Monitor latest standards, industry trends, and policy developments that may affect Experian's business and growth strategy.
  • Build and influence relationships across standards bodies, industry groups, and strategic ecosystem partners.
  • Identify opportunities for Experian to shape industry direction through standards contributions, expertise, and external engagement.
  • Advise business and technology leaders on emerging opportunities, risks, and implications across identity, trust, fraud prevention, and agentic commerce.
  • Develop recommendations on where Experian should lead, influence, partner, or monitor industry initiatives.
  • Deliver executive-level insights and standards intelligence to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience inside standards ecosystems relevant to identity, privacy, security, or telecom; and AI.
  • Experience participating in technology-focused standards organizations, industry alliances, consortiums, or policy forums. Such as: FIDO Alliance, OpenID Foundation, Trust over IP, IETF, W3C, NIST, or similar groups.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, privacy, and security considerations affecting digital identity solutions.
  • Evaluate complex technical and business issues and translate them into recommendations.
  • Experience influencing teams without direct authority.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education.
