Job description

Position: Financial Analyst
Location: Chicago, IL (Remote - Local candidates preferred)
Contract to Hire: 6 Months, convert to Full-Time
Hours: 20 Hours Per Week
Rate: Up to $18-$25/hr based on experience during initial 6 months
Sign-on Bonus: Yes, plus EOY performance bonus.
Start Date: ASAP


Responsibilities:

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for overseeing and executing various financial operations processes to ensure the smooth functioning of day-to-day financial activities. This role will involve managing financial management tasks such as invoice processing, expense tracking, and reconciliation of financial accounts. Additionally, the analyst will collaborate with partners to cultivate relationships with stakeholders and assist in organizing accounts and files to support the creation of client deliverables.

 
Financial Management:

  • Oversee and execute various financial operations processes, including invoice processing, expense tracking, and reconciliation of financial accounts.
  • Cash Flow Management and Discussions with leadership
  • Monthly Financial Meeting with to discuss Financial Projections, Expense projections, and reconciliation of the month.
  • Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts, aligning financial management
  • Regularly analyze revenue and expense trends, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
  • Collect payments from clients and accurately record the information.
  • Generate monthly financial statements and related analyses for internal stakeholders.
  • Drive the annual tax process, including reconciliation, documentation, and liaising with accountants.
  • Conduct end-of-year closeout tasks

 
Operations Management:

  • Collaborate with leadership to cultivate relationships with clients and consultants.
  • Organize accounts and files to assist in the creation of client deliverables.
  • Manage all areas of business operations, not limited to Financial and Operations
  • Develop statements of work (SOWs) and add amendments when necessary.
  • Collect consultants’ timesheets and create invoices monthly.
  • Engage in weekly meetings with managing partners to discuss consulting-related matters and create work plans.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • Proven experience in a financial operations, financial management, or related field.
    • However, we are open to new graduates with demonstrated success at internships.
  • Experienced with Excel required; experience with QuickBooks preferred.
