Job description

Bend Riverside Rentals LLC is a growing rental company. We manage roughly 65 condos, studios, and cottages at the former Bend Riverside Inn and Suites, which went out of business in March 2020. We also manage units at the adjacent Pioneer Park Condominiums.

This is a full-time job starting at $20 per hour working in our front office, answering phones and running our software. This is a technology-intensive job, so you must have great computer skills. If you don't personally own a computer or have a smartphone, this won't work. While past office and/or front desk experience is a plus, we are willing to take on a newbie. Intelligent individuals with great computer skills can do just about anything. Same goes for college graduates in fields other than hospitality. Keep in mind, this office deals with Airbnb and VRBO travelers, so hours can go as late as 7 p.m., and will include weekends!

We offer health insurance benefits with a 70% employer contribution, as well as life insurance.

Bend Riverside Rentals is part of a growing, family-owned network of vacation rental destinations. We have three other locations on the Oregon Coast, plus one new location in Washington. This offers employees the opportunity to move within our growing organization.

All employees are eligible to enjoy a two-night stay at any of our locations as a company perk (after working with us for 1-year).

Qualified candidates will need to have reliable transportation and be able to climb stairs at our three-level facility. Keeping an eye on everything. Talking with customers. Keeping our clients happy at this condominium complex where they own individual condominiums that we rent out for them online in places like AirBnb, Expedia, VRBO etc. Helping assign work to housekeepers and maintenance. And leadership. Making sure everything works. Learning our software system that automates just about everything you can automate in the vacation business today (no check ins, no keys, apps to assign house cleans etc.). You get the picture.

Not enough to pique your interest? Unlike managing a motel or hotel, all of our rooms are individually owned and decorated by the private owners. We just rent them out for them. What this really means is that the mind-numbing slog of managing identical rooms is not part of the program here. Worked in a motel before and loved having tired travelers walk in for a cheap bed and try and haggle you down with every discount program they have? This place is not for you.

We abhor cliches in job postings, but we have to say we are family owned. Thankfully, we are not going to say that we need detail-oriented, self-starting team players. Those descriptors are overused to the point of irrelevancy.  And lame. We hate soul-sucking corporate masters. You do too. Give us a call and come have the best possible time you can working the front desk with us.

Reply to this ad with your resume and availability. A cover letter would be a great idea too. Such a great idea that we strongly recommend you include one. Did we mention a cover letter is a great idea?

Candidates must reside in the area. If you want a job with the potential for upward mobility, this is the one. We have a fun, energetic team and would like to add to it. Come grow with us.
