At Rehmann, our International Tax Practice helps clients navigate an increasingly complex global tax environment through practical, strategic, and forward-thinking tax solutions. We're seeking an experienced International Tax Manager to serve as a trusted advisor to clients, lead complex international tax engagements, and help drive the continued growth of our expanding practice. This role provides the opportunity to work on sophisticated cross-border tax matters, build meaningful client relationships, mentor team members, and contribute to the continued growth and evolution of Rehmann's international tax capabilities. Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of the Rehmann International Tax Practice
  • Advise clients and prospects on international tax planning opportunities and tax-efficient strategies
  • Oversee international tax research, consulting, and compliance engagements
  • Develop and implement effective cross-border tax strategies
  • Leverage relationships with member firms and other trusted advisors around the world to help clients navigate complex cross-border tax matters.
  • Respond to inquiries and examinations from tax authorities
  • Build and strengthen client relationships through a deep understanding of their business and personal goals
  • Stay current on domestic and international tax developments and apply technical guidance to complex situations
  • Mentor, develop, and support team members in their professional growth
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and contribute to business development initiatives
  • Participate in business development activities, including networking, and proposal development
  • Strengthen and expand the technical capabilities of the Rehmann International Tax Practice
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of international tax experience, including consulting, planning, and compliance
  • Broad understanding of both inbound and outbound issues affecting businesses, individuals, trusts, and estates
  • Proven success in identifying consulting opportunities and expanding services with current and prospective clients (e.g., Subpart F/GILTI, FDII, Sec. 962 elections, IC‑DISC TxT, E&P management, etc.)
  • Knowledge of US corporate tax compliance within the international tax environment (Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, 8990 Series, 1040NR, 1116, 8938, etc.)
  • Familiarity with M&A and restructuring concepts relating to international operations (338 elections, liquidation and reorganization provisions, etc.)Ability to develop strong client relationships
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • CPA designation
  • MST or similar degree is preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate confidently with clients
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop associates into top performers
