HR Generalist
TechTrans International provides comprehensive language services and travel logistics solutions, including language training, interpretation, translation, and global travel coordination. We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our Clear Lake/Houston, Texas team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and labor union environments, with the ability to support a diverse workforce including exempt, non-exempt, expatriate, union, and non-union employees.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
  • Provide HR support and guidance to employees and managers by responding to questions, researching issues, and resolving employee-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and physical personnel records, files, and HR documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and government reporting requirements.
  • Support bi-weekly payroll processes, including audits, updates, and HR-related changes.
  • Assist with required compliance reporting, including OSHA, EEO, VETS, AAP, FMLA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Utilize HRIS systems and reporting tools to generate routine and ad-hoc reports.
  • Maintain and support Affirmative Action Program activities and OFCCP compliance requirements.
  • Assist with administration of company benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k), short-term disability, and long-term disability plans.
  • Perform additional HR-related duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4-8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in an HR Generalist role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, policies, procedures, and employment regulations.
  • Experience supporting federal/government contracting environments preferred.
  • Experience with international, expatriate, or labor union employees preferred.
  • Knowledge of OFCCP requirements, Affirmative Action Plans, EEO reporting, VETS reporting, and Service Contract Act compliance preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills with the ability to analyze data and prepare reports (Excel assessment required).
  • HRIS experience with the ability to generate reports and maintain employee data.
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information professionally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
