Job description

About the Role:
We have a current opening for a People Mobility Manager and are actively reviewing applications.
People Mobility Manager will be responsible leading the end-to-end life cycle of Ferrero North America expats and foreign nationals, stewarding core processes that include compensation and budgeting, visa applications and work permits, relocation services, payroll operations and annual tax filings. This role will also serve as single point of contact with Ferrero's global expat department to implement global expat policies, and administer compensation and benefits plans related to foreign national assigned or seconded to or from North America.
Main Responsibilities:
• Collect, update and gain information for defining the expatriation salary package with Global Expat Department and/or Rewards department in origination country
• Ensure various allowances are up to date but on changes in family size, currency exchange and inflation indices
• Ensure proper information flow from the Home to the Host Country in order to have expatriates' payroll fully integrated and administrated according to the applicable legislation
• Support development and reforecasting of annual expat budget based on census and pay changes, cooperating with HR and Finance to ensure proper accounting of payroll costs and fulfillment of social security obligations
• Support application of healthcare insurance and local benefits schemes, as needed for expatriate families
• Coordinate with immigration counsel to define visa strategy and prepare documentation for visa and work authorization petitions
• Manage permanent residency (Green Card) policy and guide eligible employees and managers through the process
• Stay abreast of regulatory changes that may impact immigration laws and communicate potential changes with affected employees
• Monitor and judiciously approve expenses associated with immigration counsel
• Define policies and procedures for expenses and travel associated with immigration initiations and renewals
• Define and maintain relocation and settling-in policies that balances market competitiveness, regulatory compliance and cost management
• Coordinate relocation services with eligible employees, troubleshooting individualized questions and family needs with policy interpretations
• Oversee recording of imputed income related to taxable relocation services within payroll
• Oversee relationship with tax advisory firm to ensures timely and accurate management of expatriates' annual tax filings
• Direct tax payments, refunds and personal income assessment with expats and Treasury, including recordkeeping and follow-ups of any outstanding monies
• Coordinate the recording of worldwide income on local payroll for foreign nationals to ensure compliance
About You:
• Bachelor's Degree
• 8+ years of immigration experience
• Prior experience in international compensation is a plus
• Knowledge of immigration and/or taxation practices is a plus
• Strong organizational skills, communication skills, and attention to detail
• Strong math aptitude, Excel skills, and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of US immigration and tax policies
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and strict deadlines
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

The base salary range for this position is $105,000 - 140,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
