Exercise Program Designer

Seeking a skilled professional to design and lead exercise programs. Responsibilities include assessing health questionnaires, conducting fitness evaluations, updating exercise prescriptions, and implementing effective training strategies. The role requires strong communication, instructional abilities, and adherence to safety protocols. Excellent customer service, time management, and equipment oversight are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and direct exercise programs
  • Conduct health assessments and exercise testing
  • Evaluate medical health questionnaires and counsel members
  • Perform re-evaluations and update exercise prescriptions
  • Implement exercise therapy for joint replacements and chronic conditions
  • Ensure safe and proper equipment usage
  • Maintain adherence to safety and infection control protocols
  • Educate and train members and staff on exercise techniques
  • Provide personal training and fitness counseling
Qualifications
  • Applicants must be willing to substitute for other staff on occasion. Works a 36-40 hour week with a schedule that varies based on center needs.
  • The applicant must be able to effectively demonstrate all fitness equipment and exercises on both land and water.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and should be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • An undergraduate degree in exercise science or a health related field.
  • Nationally recognized personal training certification required.
  • Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification is required.
