Job description

US Wellness is seeking detail-oriented and professional PRN (as needed) Fitness Instructors to support a clinical research study involving in-home assessments of senior participants. This position plays an important role in the collection of standardized health and functional data used to support research objectives and study outcomes.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, following established protocols, and accurately documenting assessment results in a home-based setting.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Travel to participants' homes in the Houston area to conduct study-related fitness and mobility assessments.
  • Perform standardized functional assessments
  • Conduct sensory assessments
  • Administer cognitive assessments
  • Complete mobility testing and evaluate movement-related measures
  • Record video documentation of assessment activities as required by study protocols
  • Ensure accurate, complete, and timely documentation of all assessment findings
  • Adhere to study procedures, participant privacy requirements, and data collection standards

Qualifications:

  • Certification or degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Fitness, Health Sciences, Physical Education, or a related field preferred
  • Experience conducting fitness or mobility assessments
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized protocols
  • Comfortable working independently in participants' homes
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within assigned service areas
  • Proficiency with mobile technology, electronic documentation systems, and video recording equipment
