Position Summary
The Department of Health, Exercise, & Sports Sciences (HESS) in the College of Education and Human Sciences is seeking temporary part-time faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses. We are recruiting instructors for the following programs:
  • Athletic Training
  • Exercise Science
  • Health Education
  • Physical Education Teacher Education
  • Sport Administration.

Positions are contingent upon need each semester as determined by student enrollment levels, current course offering matrix, and demand driven by graduation requirements. Positions may be filled or eliminated each semester up to the deadline for students to drop or add courses.
This is a continuous posting for the Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2025 semesters. For best consideration dates:

September 13, 2024 for Spring Semester 2025
February 1, 2025 for Summer Semester 2025
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • For each program, doctorate in the program area or a closely related field by contract start date.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postdoctoral scholarly work in an area relevant to the course.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching adult learners.
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.

These factors include but are not limited to the following (check all that apply):1. Nationally disseminated published peer-reviewed research or scholarly work;2. Extensive related work or professional experience;3. Licensure, certification, or professional organization fellow status that indicates advanced achievement and qualification by a national board or accrediting body;4. Professional honors, awards, or significant recognition that indicates the individual's level of discipline-based content knowledge; or5. Other demonstrated competencies and achievements relevant to the content of the course.
