Job description

Responsible for age appropriate exercise selection and programming for PSM's 31 partnered schools and 10 youth sports clubs. Organizes, implements, and supervises large group training sessions which may include adult fitness classes, medical fitness classes and personal training. Performs baseline testing on diverse athlete populations, data entry, and facility maintenance.

Education

BSc or BA in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Education or related field.

Licensure/Certification

Certifications by the National Strength and Conditioning Association or other national governing body (American College of Sports Medicine, USA Weightlifting, Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association) required. CPR certification is required.

Addendums are required for 0153 Nurse Leader, 0249 Registry RN, 0252 Registered Nurse, 0235 Advanced Registered Nurse, and 0236 Expert Registered Nurse. To view addendums, go to the job description page on Parkview’s intranet.

Experience

One year's experience working in a human performance/ strength and conditioning environment. Experience leading sport-specific training sessions for youth populations preferred.

Other Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess excellent communication and decision making skills. The candidate must also be mature, highly dependable, and possess the ability to build a good rapport with sport coaches, parents, and other members of the PSM staff and community. A strong background in sport-specific resistance training and conditioning is required.
