Standard Hours: 20.00
Shift: Shift 1
Shift Details: This position will fill varying shifts between the hours of 0630-1700, Monday through Friday. Holiday and Weekend inpatient rotation will also be included in this position's schedule.
Job Summary:
Responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and educating patients receiving Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation (ICR), Cardiac Rehabilitation (CR), Pulmonary Rehabilitation (PR), and Supervised Exercise Therapy for Peripheral Artery Disease (SET for PAD), chronic disease management, and primary and secondary prevention programming.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
Internship in a cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Bachelor's degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology or related field is required. Masters Degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology or related field is preferred.
TRAINING DESCRIPTION:
Participation in State and/or National Professional Organization preferred.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
ACSM Exercise Specialist and/or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist certification preferred. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days. American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required within one year of hire.
