Interns typically work in settings such as fitness centers, rehabilitation clinics, or sports teams, where they assist with exercise programming, client assessments, and wellness education. The internship provides hands-on experience and helps build skills necessary for future employment in the health and fitness industry. It may also be a requirement for graduation or professional certification.

What types of projects or tasks can I expect to work on during an exercise internship?

Interns often work directly with clients under supervision, learning to customize exercise routines and track progress. You may also collaborate with certified trainers and health professionals, gaining hands-on experience in client interaction, wellness education, and administrative tasks like scheduling or data entry. This variety of responsibilities provides a comprehensive introduction to the fitness industry and helps you develop practical skills for future roles.
