JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing department specific clerical assistance. Duties include but not limited to the following: greeting patients and performing check in process, registration verification/completion, medical necessity verification/completion, order verification/completion/routing to other systems, order tasking to provider offices, order entry, payment collection, scheduling/managing patient appointments, obtaining various release forms, requesting and processing outside images/reports, releasing/tracking our images to outside facilities, preparing next day schedules, communicating with provider offices on orders, managing patient mail correspondence, working out of multiple computer systems, assisting technologist with needs, providing breast cancer apparel/merchandise sales, and other duties as assigned. This position requires providing services to one or more age populations in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) at Blessing Hospital.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training/Experience:
REQUIRED:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Some college completed
  • Minimum of 3 years clerical experience
  • Excellent typing skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and other Office software

  • Non-exempt hourly
