Project Executive - Commercial Construction
HC Company Boise, Idaho
HC Company is seeking an experienced Project Executive to provide leadership across complex commercial construction projects, project teams, and key client relationships. This is a senior leadership role for a construction professional who knows how to deliver exceptional projects while developing people, protecting profitability, and building lasting client partnerships. As a Project Executive, you'll have a meaningful role in the continued growth of HC Company while leading teams that reflect our commitment to Building Relationships, Exceeding Expectations.
What You'll Do
  • Provide executive oversight of multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and other project team members.
  • Maintain accountability for project financial performance, forecasting, profitability, schedule, quality, and risk.
  • Partner with project teams to resolve complex construction, contractual, financial, and client-related challenges.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, consultants, and industry partners.
  • Provide leadership during preconstruction, including constructability, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and project strategy.
  • Collaborate with Estimating, Preconstruction, Business Development, and company leadership to support pursuits and strategic growth.
  • Ensure project teams consistently execute HC Company's processes, standards, and expectations.
  • Support staffing, hiring, onboarding, performance development, and succession planning within project teams.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships, generate repeat business, and support HC Company's long-term growth.
  • Represent HC Company with professionalism, integrity, accountability, and a commitment to our clients, employees, and industry partners.
What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years of progressive commercial construction experience, including significant project management and leadership responsibility.
  • Demonstrated success leading large and/or complex commercial construction projects and multiple project teams.
  • Strong understanding of project financials, contracts, scheduling, procurement, risk management, and construction operations.
  • Proven ability to develop and mentor Project Managers and other construction professionals.
  • Executive-level communication, decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong client relationship skills with a demonstrated ability to build trust and support repeat business.
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with involvement in critical project and operational issues.
  • Experience with Procore, Microsoft Project, and other construction technology preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent construction experience considered.
