Job description

The Studios Producer is responsible for the day-to-day customer project management work for the video studios team within Amazon's Event Productions organization in the America region. They serve as the primary contact for studio-based and on-location video productions, acting as the liaison between the Video Studios Customer and the production team to fulfill the customer's vision, conduct the project roadmap, and deliver the highest quality product, and a great experience. Customers are fellow Amazonians seeking video production services. The Studio Producer collaborates on video production services for both in-studio and on-location, provides skilled media storytelling, organizes all production-related studio needs - video, lighting, audio, setup, and recording - and logs important information for the post-production team. Successful team members will seamlessly step into a corporate environment, deliver compelling brand stories that inspire and engage, communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization, have strong organizational skills, and demonstrate the ability to work across multiple teams and cultures.
Key job responsibilities
• Owning a variety of production-based projects from hand-off until post-production
• Gathering and managing details on a project provided by customers
• Collaborating with a wide-range of teams and customers
• Serving as the primary contact for daily customer communication needs and support
• Logging and tracking necessary information for post-production teams
• Interfacing with both technical and creative members of the production teams
• Developing and executing solutions during unexpected circumstances, being highly adaptive
• Leading meetings effectively; providing documentation and aligning stakeholders
• Optimizing project and process efficiencies, while improving team goals
• Reporting and tracking program-related metrics
• Seeking opportunities to encourage the team's skill development
• Working to set a positive tone for projects while remaining calm in fast-paced environment
Pre-Production:
• Assists customers with planning meetings
• Guides the customer clearly through the production process
• Prepares and distributes production paperwork
• Collaborates on vendor estimates and labor costs
• Books needed project resources
• Oversees and runs technical rehearsals
• Communicates clearly with all team members and stakeholders
Day-of Production:
• Leads the day-of shoot operations
• Owns of the safety of the set for crew and customers
• Serves as the point of communication for crew, talent, and customers
• Is responsible for calling audio, video, and lighting cues
• Tracks and records editorial notes
• Ensures a high-standard of production that is on-brand and exceeds customer expectation
• Manages and assists direction of the studio talent
• Dynamically flexes to customer needs and adapts to complications
Post-Production:
• Oversees the change-over of studio space between productions
• Manages any final handoff needs
• Hands off project to Post-Producer and Post-Production
A day in the life
The Studios Producer will manage multiple video production requests that could be in studio or on-location - depending upon the request. Their team is responsible for serving customers who book Amazon's event production services and transform their video ideas into feasible and bar-raising production environments.
About the team
The Event Productions Studios team produces audio and video content as a resource for fellow Amazonians.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of producer, production manager or line producer experience
- Experience designing, transporting, setting up, and operating production equipment, including audio and lighting equipment, for field and studio productions
- Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
- 2+ years of video producing experience
- 2+ years of experience in video production
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and manage complex calendaring systems, databases and due dates
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- Experience communicating to a diverse, global audience
- Knowledge of video production crews, live streaming technologies, studio workflows, edit and post- production techniques, production calendars and staffing
- Experience prioritizing competing demands, scoping large efforts, and negotiating timelines
- Experience prioritizing and delivering projects on time in a fast-moving environment
- 2+ years of experience collaborating with and directing high level executives and their teams
- Possess an acute sense for visual aesthetics and ideas and the ability to manage people and resources effectively
- Familiarity with studio production billing processes
- Strong desire to learn new technologies and systems
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to improve processes

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
