Job description

Application Deadline: August 7, 2026 Program Dates: September 8 or 14 – December 11, 2026

Start and end dates are flexible. Interns must be available to work part-time (10-29 hours/week) in person at the designated office location.

Our Emerging Talent Programs — including Internships and Trainee roles — provide hands-on opportunities for students and early-career professionals to contribute to the teams behind our film, television, and entertainment experiences. These paid, seasonal assignments deliver meaningful, high-impact work designed to accelerate your growth. You’ll take on real responsibilities, build practical skills, and gain exposure to the business through structured learning, executive engagement, and networking opportunities.

Our internship program is designed for students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, as well as individuals seeking to deepen their education through immersive, professional experience in the entertainment industry.

B17 Entertainment is a full-service production company under Sony Nonfiction producing breakthrough content in a variety of genres including cooking shows, game shows, dating shows, and social experiments. Some of B17’s productions include Extracted for FOX, On Brand with Jimmy Fallon for NBC, Blue Ribbon Baking Championship for Netflix, Emmy award-winning Book of Queer for Discovery+, and an upcoming productions include Clue for Netflix as well as a competition series inspired by the world of “Gabby’s Dollhouse” for Netflix. As leaders in a new era of content creation, our focus is on multi-platform programming with millennial and Gen Z appeal.

Responsibilities:

  • Help research, writing copy for sales decks, pulling images and footage for sales decks and sizzle reels and helping edit string outs

  • Be encouraged to bring in new ideas, contribute in group brainstorms, and keep the company apprised of what’s trending across various social media

  • May have the chance to go on set and assist on shoots, when available

Qualifications:

  • In college or just graduated students who are interested in a career in unscripted television/content

  • Writing experience

  • Strong researcher

  • Comfortable with Canva and Photoshop

  • Experience with AI image generation. Self-starter eager to bring ideas to the table

  • A watcher and enjoyer of unscripted content

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to pull footage and edit string outs would help if possible

  • Knowledge of current and past unscripted shows a plus
