KAIROS, Inc is searching for an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Logistics and Sustainment Analyst, Senior, to join our team. This position is contingent upon contract award. This position will be on site in Pax River, MD.
Established in July 2013, KAIROS, Inc. is a growing Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) specializing in Life Cycle Program Management, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Logistics and Sustainment, Enterprise Platforms and AI, and Additive Manufacturing services focused on optimizing customers' program performance and mission through proven methodologies and ethical practices. This position will perform Logistics & Sustainment activities to support the life cycle of platforms, programs or portfolios. The candidate will be responsible for analysis, identification, planning, monitoring, and solutioning. Candidate will interface with contractors and government representatives in order to coordinate and complete project processes from requirements through disposal.
Primary Duties:
  • Serve as the Logistics and Sustainment Subject Matter Expert supporting logistics, sustainment, and aviation readiness initiatives.
  • Conduct organizational studies and evaluations to improve operational efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainment performance across logistics and maintenance processes.
  • Perform sustainment cost analyses, Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCE), Business Case Analyses (BCA), and affordability assessments supporting depot maintenance and readiness initiatives.
  • Understand and evaluate engineering changes, major modifications, production rate sensitivity analyses, warranty analyses, and Risk-Based Cost Assessments to determine impacts on sustainment, readiness, and lifecycle affordability.
  • Analyze depot maintenance requirements, maintenance capacity, workload planning, repair capability, induction schedules, production metrics, and repair turnaround time performance.
  • Evaluate Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot (O/I/D) maintenance concepts and recommend improvements to increase operational readiness and reduce total ownership costs, including Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) and Hybrid PBL sustainment strategies.
  • Perform logistics and readiness analyses evaluating the impacts of advanced technologies, aircraft operations, maintenance concepts, and support requirements across various operational scenarios.
  • Analyze development, production, sustainment, and modification programs to assess impacts on sustainment costs, readiness, and long-term supportability.
  • Conduct readiness analyses using maintenance, supply, engineering, reliability, and operational data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Identify Naval Aviation readiness degraders through the analysis of aircraft maintenance, supply chain, logistics, and operational data, and develop strategic recommendations to improve aircraft availability and mission readiness.
  • Develop and evaluate multiple courses of action through quantitative and qualitative data analysis to improve materiel logistics and sustainment systems, increase operational effectiveness, and support informed decision-making.
  • Analyze system functionality, data flows, and input/output requirements while providing recommendations for integrating data into business processes and executive decision-making.
  • Develop executive-level reports, dashboards, metrics, and briefings supporting senior government leadership and program stakeholders.
  • Support Product Support Management activities across all Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements.
  • Recommend process improvements that enhance maintenance efficiency, supply support, aircraft availability, and operational readiness.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience with NAVAIR and other Navy and Marine Corps and DoD sustainment-related systems
  • Experience supporting Naval Aviation to include but not limited to Aircraft (fixed wing, rotary wing, Unmanned Air Systems), Aircraft components and subsystems (e.g., avionics), Weapons (e.g., missiles, ordnance, bombs)
  • Experience supporting Integrated Product Support (IPS) (e.g., analysis of technical publications, manuals, spares, training, and support equipment)
  • Experience supporting Operations and Support (O&S) Analysis (e.g., analysis of work force, consumption, intermediate level maintenance, depot level maintenance, type of support (such as whether the Government should support a system organically or through contractor support), sustaining support, indirect support, and disposal requirements).
  • Experience creating business case analysis and return on investment analysis,
  • Experience with Enterprise Research Planning (ERP) implementation, and sustainment analysis).
  • Experience with or knowledge of Decision Knowledge Programing for Logistics Analysis and Technical Evaluation (DECKPLATE); Vector; Resource Allocation Management Program (RAMP); Integrated Product Support Management Systems (IPSMS); Aviation Maintenance/Supply Readiness Report (AMSRR); Organizational and Resource Status (OARS); Aviation Financial Analyst Support Tool (AFAST); Maintenance Data Analysis Tool (MDAT); Reliability and Maintainability Information System (REMIS); and Logistics, Installations, Mission Support-Enterprise View (LIMS-EV). Data shall be collected, integrated, filtered, and analyzed from Marine Aviation Logistics Enterprise Information Technology (MAL-EIT) to include the Expeditionary Pack-Up Kit (EPUK), Next-Generation Buffer Management System (NGBMS), and Logistics Planning Tool (LPT).
  • Experience with data warehouse systems for Type/Model/Series (T/M/S) aircraft maintenance, supply, cost, operations, configuration, engineering, and Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology (SMART) aircraft data.
  • Ability to execute with accuracy, precision, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% to other locations.
  • Strong customer relations, analytics, and documentation skills

Education and Experience:

  • Ten (10) or more years of Experience with NAVAIR and other Navy and Marine Corps and DoD sustainment-related systems
  • Experience supporting Naval Aviation to include but not limited to Aircraft (fixed wing, rotary wing, Unmanned Air Systems), Aircraft components and subsystems (e.g., avionics), Weapons (e.g., missiles, ordnance, bombs)
Clearance:
This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance.
Compensation:
While skills, education, and experience are key factors, they are not the sole determinants of salary. Other determining factors include but are not limited to location, contract budgets and requirements, and government labor category guidelines. The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 to $115,000. KAIROS also provides a comprehensive benefits package as additional employee compensation.
