Job description Executive Sous Chef We are seeking an experienced chef who is a strong self-starter, team player, and possesses leadership experience to join our Culinary Team at Berghoff. The Executive Sous Chef will oversee the daily operations of our restaurant kitchen and provide professional leadership and direction to kitchen personnel as well as support our Executive Chef. Desired Skills and Experience Requirements for consideration: Three to five years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant with aminimum of $6 million in annual revenue.

College or culinary training and/or extensive cooking and production experience. Minimum of three years in a high-volume food prep position while managing a staff of 10-15 individuals. Proven ability to hire, motivate, train, develop and maintain qualified BOH employees.

Understand and follow food allergy procedures and special orders/restrictions. Ability to work in a high-energy and demanding environment, while on your feet for extended periods of time. Assist in the development and maintenance of recipes, menus, and food items.

Experience in on-premise catering and private dining events. Up-to-date knowledge on sanitation standards; all applicants should have a current sanitation certificate or in preparation of receiving one. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software and experience with inventory-keeping databases and time-keeping software solutions.

Knowledge of safe food service equipment operation and application. Working knowledge of Spanish.
