Maintenance Supervisor - Nashville, TN

Compensation: Starting at $85,000 + Bonus Eligibility

Company Summary:

A global specialty materials manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to support nonwovens manufacturing and converting operations at a highvolume production facility. This organization operates a diverse portfolio of engineered materials serving both industrial and consumer markets and is built on more than a century of manufacturing expertise.

This role offers the opportunity to lead skilled trades in a fastpaced environment while driving uptime, cost control, and performance consistency across production and facility assets.

The Maintenance Supervisor will provide handson leadership and technical oversight for maintenance teams supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations.

The Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities include:

  • Lead and supervise mechanical, electrical, and piping skilled trades in a continuous manufacturing environment
  • Plan and direct daily maintenance activities, work orders, inspections, and repair schedules
  • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing standards, procedures, and regulatory compliance
  • Drive preventive maintenance programs to improve reliability and reduce unplanned downtime
  • Track daily technician work execution and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks
  • Ensure appropriate staffing coverage for 24/7 operations and respond to afterhours emergencies as needed
  • Evaluate equipment issues to determine appropriate repair strategies and resource requirements
  • Partner with operations to identify recurring equipment issues and recommend reliability improvements
  • Lead training, coaching, and development of maintenance technicians while driving accountability
  • Manage spare parts and maintenance inventories to support operational efficiency
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime, cost reduction, and elimination of failure modes

The Maintenance Supervisor should have the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, including at least 1 year in a direct supervisory role
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, fluid power, and control systems
  • Handson experience with preventive and corrective maintenance in a manufacturing environment
  • OSHA 30hour certification
  • CMRT or other relevant maintenance certification preferred
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred
  • Experience using CMMS systems; SAP Plant Maintenance experience highly desirable
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a skilled technical workforce
  • Strong problemsolving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain composure and make sound decisions in highpressure situations
