Position Summary and Objective
The Residential Security Agent II (Hybrid) will provide a client with static residential protection, physical security, and some executive protection, as needed. This position will be based in a designated geographic region. This Static/Residential Security Agent (Hybrid) will support the security team's overall client coverage and entail performing protection activities at a designated site in McLean, VA. This position will report to the Static Residential Security Team Lead for reporting and evaluation purposes.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Primary responsibility is to support Residence Detail Operations to include escorts, open-source protective intel, x-raying of packages, and assisting the main Security Post.
  • Secondary responsibilities includes the ability to assist either Mobile Executive Protection Teams on any pop up off the record movements, to provide call out coverage until relieved, or to assist the Executive Protection team as needed or requested by Executive Management.
  • Provide static protection and other security-related duties for the client at a designated site.
  • Effectively manage family members to ensure safety and security precautions are maintained.
  • Respond to emergencies and perform adequate medical first aid operations.
  • De-escalate tense situations or individuals that arise during the conduct of a mission.
  • Communicate vulnerabilities or safety concerns promptly.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and management through incident reports and other administrative tools.
  • Conduct area patrols in and around the site and report suspicious activity.
  • Assist with protection schedules and team assignments.
  • Operate and maintain protective, operational, and communications equipment, including a vehicle.
  • Promptly identify and escalate deficiencies/failures and security gaps.
  • Assist with intelligence and other duties within the Command Post.
  • Draft a variety of reports as requested by management.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Competencies and Attributes
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills; second language skills preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing relationships on assignments.
  • Ability to maintain composure and positively interact with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public under urgency and pressure.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to work with children and manage protection in a family environment.

Qualifications and Education
  • Strongly desired candidate with Static Officer experience.
  • Currently has DCJS Security Officer and PPS credentials.
  • The ability to walk, carry packages, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • The willingness and desire to learn and be well versed in the Residential and Executive Protection Details to support their mission. Good driving skills a must.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • A strong desire to do open-source analysis to support our protective mission.
  • The ability to positively interact with the Client Family and staff.
  • This position requires the Officer to deliver a high level of customer service.
  • The ability to embrace training across all platforms (Executive Protection, Static, Command Post, Open-Source Intel). Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Must be able to draft various types of reports as requested by Management.
  • Ability to present findings and provide briefs in a professional manner.
  • Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills

Position Type and Schedule
  • Regular Full-Time (RFT), non-exempt position.
  • Primarily 2000-0400 hrs., Wednesday through Sunday position with the ability to flex when needed.
  • 24/7 availability to the client while on a task.
  • May require domestic and international travel.
  • Pay Range: $42 - $44 per hour, based on experience.
