The Account Executive reports to the Sales Director and holds a crucial position within FireTron, driving the company's 

successful growth by expanding services to existing customers, prospecting new customers, and maintaining high levels of responsiveness and customer satisfaction. This is a seasoned and results-driven sales leader with a proven track record of 

exceeding revenue targets and driving strategic growth in the fire protection, security, and communication systems sector 

brings deep industry knowledge, technical expertise, and a consultative approach to client engagement with excellent 

interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and a high level of integrity. 


This person is a subject matter expert in at least one of the Firetron disciplines (alarm, sprinkler, integrated tech etc.) and is 

proficient in all of the applicable Firetron internal software systems and processes They are capable of targeting and 

managing high-value customers and are skilled at navigating challenging environments and overcoming obstacles.

Responsibilities:


Customer Relations: Create, build, & maintain positive relationships with potential customers, current customers, vendors, 

AHJ’s, sales team members, & other FireTron personnel. 


Process & Documentation: Ensure required processes are followed and documentation is timely, complete, and accurate.

Understand & Follow Sales Cycle: 


  • Proactively identify and engage potential clients through strategic prospecting efforts
  • Develop, present, and tailor proposals to meet client needs and business objectives
  • Manage and communicate progress through each stage of the sales cycle, ensuring transparency and alignment, utilizing Monday.com
  • Successfully close sales and/or service orders, prepare comprehensive booking packages, and coordinate distribution to relevant stakeholders


Contract Management: Ensure contract verbiage is accurate, aligns with proposed & estimated scope & price, and ensures 

Firetron’s best interest is adhered. The employee should negotiate unfavorable or inaccurate scope & terms relying on 

experience from peers for support.


Marketing Participation: Participate in industry trade shows, conferences, customer appreciation events, networking events, 

& other marketing-sales related events. Actively utilize these opportunities to prospect new customer opportunities, expand

customer relationships, engage with participants, and promote FireTron’s products and services. Establish follow-up activities

to re-engage participants and strengthen relationships.


Sales Meeting Participation: Attend and participate in sales meetings, 1 on 1’s, share successes and struggles, seek advice, 

observe other successes, and incorporate into individual strategies. Observe & engage discussions on market trends, 

competitive analysis, and refined sales strategies.


Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to ensure proficiency in applicable 

software and tools, keep skills sharp, and knowledge up-to-date. Utilize the “Sales training list” to identify training 

opportunities.


CRM Utilization: Utilize CRM to track and organize prospecting opportunities, interactions, and proposals. Sales personnel 

are expected to utilize Monday.com to input and update customer contacts, potential and current customer sites, inspection 

and service quotes, and job opportunities.


Metrics/KPI’s: This position will be evaluated on criteria that aligns with Firetron’s goals. Engagement, customer calls, site 

visits, customer meetings, time to quote, new customers, responsiveness, follow-up/feedback, sales volume (revenue), & 

gross margin are valuable evaluation metrics which will be utilized. The sales person and their manager will work together to 

analyze reporting metrics available to evaluate success, opportunities for improvement, and tailor coaching to ensure the 

employee is on track to success.


Requirements:
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue & profit growth
  • Solid understanding of fire protection, security, and/or communication systems and services.
  • Advanced knowledge & understanding of relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, responsiveness, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Proficient utilization of Firetron software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Examples: Sage Estimating, TechTool, BuildingConnected, & Anterra.
  • Utilization of CRM (Monday.com) & sales analytics tools
  • Demonstrate effective analytical thinking to identify challenges and develop effective, results-driven solutions
  • Maintains a professional and courteous demeanor in all customer and team interactions
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel within territory or region for customer needs or company training event

Hours & Workspace: Typical in-office working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility as 

determined by the Sales Director. Additional hours are necessary periodically to address customer needs, support 

fluctuating/seasonal workload, build relationships, and win more business, regardless of day of week or time of day. While 

Firetron values flexibility, employees are expected to work from their designated branch location unless they are visiting 

customers or attending events. Consistent remote work is generally discouraged due to misalignment with Firetron goals, 

including diminished performance, reduced team relations, and collaboration disturbance.
