Brown Mills, NJ | 13-Week Contract | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Join a Premier Cardiac Specialty Hospital

We are seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join a nationally recognized cardiac and thoracic surgical team. This travel opportunity is ideal for CRNAs with strong cardiac anesthesia experience who thrive in a high-acuity, collaborative environment.

The CRNA will provide anesthesia services for complex cardiac procedures, perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments, manage patients throughout surgery, and participate in emergency resuscitation efforts as a member of the Code Team.

Must Haves
  • Graduate of an accredited CRNA program
  • Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Current CRNA Certification or AANA Council Eligible/Certified
  • APN Certification (or pending application as required)
  • Current ACLS Certification
  • Active CEU compliance in accordance with AANA recertification requirements
  • Previous Cardiac Anesthesia experience
  • Experience administering anesthesia for cardiovascular and thoracic procedures
  • Ability to perform pre-anesthesia assessments and develop anesthesia plans
  • Experience placing arterial lines and invasive monitoring catheters
  • Ability to monitor and manage patients throughout all phases of anesthesia
  • Eligible for hospital credentialing and privileging
Nice to Have
  • Open Heart Surgery experience
  • CABG, valve replacement, or TAVR anesthesia experience
  • Experience with transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) cases
  • Critical Care or CVICU nursing background prior to CRNA practice
  • Previous travel assignment experience
  • Experience participating in Code Blue/rapid response teams
  • Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive preoperative anesthesia evaluations
  • Develop individualized anesthesia care plans
  • Administer anesthesia for cardiac and surgical procedures
  • Insert arterial and venous catheters as clinically indicated
  • Continuously monitor patients during anesthesia
  • Manage emergence and post-anesthesia recovery
  • Respond to emergency situations as part of the hospital resuscitation team
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, perfusionists, and perioperative staff
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with credentialing standards
