Job Requirements
  • Active CRNA credential (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) or eligible to obtain Virginia state license — Virginia licensure assistance considered
  • Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program
  • Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA Certification)
  • Board Certification or Fellowship required.
  • At least 1 year of CRNA clinical experience preferred (locum tenens or permanent anesthesia experience)
Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and evaluate patient readiness for anesthesia
  • Obtain and verify informed patient consent for anesthesia
  • Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and plans with patients and families (including pediatric patients)
  • Induce, maintain, and manage emergence from anesthesia for general and pediatric cases
  • Continuously monitor patients’ physiologic status and respond to changes during procedures
  • Perform necessary clinical interventions and ensure safe perioperative anesthesia care
  • Provide anesthesia care across case types commonly seen in outpatient surgery centers
