Job description

Vaughan Regional Medical Center is seeking a full time CRNA to join our team.
In this role you will administers anesthetic care for patients requiring anesthesia, sedation, and/or pain relief therapy. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Performs and documents a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation/education of the patient.
Administers pre-anesthesia medication as well as anesthesia (general, regional, local, or moderate sedations).
Develops and implements a plan of care, including post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care.
Provides invasive and noninvasive monitoring of patient's condition and responds to abnormal responses
Assists with providing emergent care by providing airway management; administering emergency fluids, blood, and
drugs; and performing life support techniques.
Performs clinical support functions including managing materials and supplies and developing clinical policies and procedures
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Reports to: Chief CRNA
Qualifications
Minimum education
Master's degree (Must be a graduate of an Anesthesia Education Program) Required
Required Licenses
Anesthetist, Certified Registered Nurse
Currently licensed as a CRNA by the Alabama Board of Nursing and the National Board of Certification &
Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Alabama
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
BLS must be current within 30 days from hire date. ACLS & PALS must be current within 6 months from hire date.
