Overview

VTG is seeking Plans & Policy Officers (PPO) / Executive Officers (EXO) to support our Client’s challenging operational requirements at multiple locations in the Washington Metropolitan Area.  


What will you do?
  • Ideal candidates are inquisitive, investigative and action-oriented with the ability to take initiative and deliver solutions to complex operational problems, while identifying new technical tools and capabilities.  
  • Successful candidates are able to deal effectively and confidently with customer managers at all levels of responsibility.
  • Executive Officers apply advanced knowledge and expertise of operations, operational tradecraft, and intelligence priorities when providing strategic guidance and operational case management.  
  • In addition, they are responsible for program management throughout the customer, from traditional operational activities to specialized initiatives.
  • They provide objective reviews of ongoing and potential operations and serve as the vital link between personnel in the field and the Intelligence Community.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and
      • 7-12 years of applicable experience (Level 3)
      • 12-20 years of applicable experience (Level 4)
      • 20+ years of applicable experience (Level 5) 
  • Cable writing experience 
  • Must possess and have the ability to maintain a TS/SCI clearance and polygraph at the time of application
  • Familiarity with classified databases, including specific targeting tools
  • Strong briefing and writing skills as well as the ability to work well with teams or individually with minimal supervision
  • Regional and/or functional expertise in a geographic region of interest
  • Initiative, creativity, technical excellence, and strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-starter who can multi-task and remain calm under pressure with the ability to work both independently and in a group
  • Prior experience in supporting intelligence operations or familiarity with the Intelligence Community and its objectives

Desired Qualifications:

  • Customer certification as a Executive Officer or Staff Operations Officer
  • Foreign field experience from at least one overseas tour or extensive overseas TDY experience
  • Experience in Intelligence Operations / Analysis / Support to Field Operations
  • Experience identifying targeting leads through the exploitation of all-source databases
  • Experience using customer databases to monitor field traffic and communicate with field offices
