Job description

Account Executive – Wholesale Sales

Department: Wholesale Sales
Reports To: Vice President of Sales
Location: Onsite – Corona, CA
Salary Range: $70,000 – $85,000 annually (DOE)

Position Summary

PicassoTiles is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Account Executive to join our growing Wholesale Sales team. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities while managing and expanding existing wholesale accounts. The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with experience selling consumer products to wholesale customers, distributors, and independent retailers.

Success in this position requires exceptional relationship-building skills, a consultative sales approach, strong analytical abilities, and advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency to analyze sales performance, manage forecasts, and identify growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue, margin, and growth objectives.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing wholesale accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with distributors, regional retailers, national accounts, and independent retailers.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting through phone calls, email, trade shows, networking, and customer visits.
  • Present new products, merchandising programs, promotions, and sales initiatives to customers.
  • Negotiate pricing, promotional programs, and business terms while maintaining profitability objectives.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, account plans, and pipeline reports for leadership.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze sales trends, customer performance, inventory opportunities, promotional results, and forecasting data.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, activity, and opportunities within the company's CRM system.
  • Partner with Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, and Finance to ensure timely order fulfillment and exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor customer inventory levels, identify replenishment opportunities, and proactively recommend solutions that drive additional sales.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging market opportunities.
  • Represent PicassoTiles at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of successful B2B wholesale sales or account management experience.
  • Experience selling consumer products, toys, retail products, or similar product categories is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in developing new business and growing existing customer accounts.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required, including working with spreadsheets, sales reporting, filtering, sorting, pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite CRM, or similar systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel periodically for customer meetings and trade shows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling to wholesale distributors, specialty retailers, gift stores, educational retailers, or independent retailers.
