Job description

Business Development Executive

EchoPark Speedway | Sales & Corporate Partnerships | Full-Time

About EchoPark Speedway

EchoPark Speedway, formerly Atlanta Motor Speedway, is an 850-acre motorsports and entertainment venue in Hampton, Georgia, and one of the flagship properties of Speedway Motorsports. The track hosts two NASCAR Cup Series race weekends each year along with a full calendar of racing, driving experiences, and large-scale events. In 2025, the speedway entered a new era under the EchoPark name through a multi-year partnership with EchoPark Automotive.

The Opportunity

The Business Development Executive sells the full range of EchoPark Speedway's corporate revenue opportunities: sponsorships and partnership marketing, premium hospitality and suites, corporate events, group tickets, signage, advertising and digital out of home media. You will own the full cycle, from prospecting and building a qualified pipeline to shaping customized proposals from available speedway inventory, closing new business and growing and renewing existing partners. This is a relationship-driven, revenue-carrying role for someone who can turn a company's marketing goals into a partnership that delivers and keep it delivering season after season.

What You Will Do

  • Present, sell, and execute the full inventory: sponsorship and partnership marketing solutions, premium suites and hospitality packages, corporate events, group ticket sales, signage, advertising, event display space, and facility rentals.
  • Build and work a pipeline of local, regional, and national prospects by researching, prospecting, setting appointments, and qualifying companies whose goals the speedway can help achieve.
  • Develop and present customized partnership packages built from available speedway inventory and tailored to each client's business objectives.
  • Carry opportunities from first meeting to signature: deliver sales presentations, negotiate, and close within approved terms.
  • Grow revenue from existing partners through renewals, upsells, and new value-added opportunities.
  • Retain partners through excellent service and on-site activation, making sure what was sold gets delivered.
  • Act as the day-to-day relationship owner, understanding each partner's business and curating options that drive retention and renewal.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets for the season and for each major event.
  • Collaborate with EchoPark Speedway and Speedway Motorsports sales, marketing, and service teams on strategies for new and renewal business.
  • Keep sales activity, pipeline, forecasts, and records current in Salesforce, along with commission and expense reporting.
  • Be on-site for all major events, race weekends, and other events as needed.

What You Bring

  • 5 years of business development or sales experience, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Experience in sports, entertainment, sponsorship or media sales preferred.
  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining long-term corporate client relationships.
  • Strong prospecting, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills, in person and virtual.
  • Disciplined pipeline management and comfort with CRM systems; Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Financial acumen: an understanding of pricing, margins and how a deal is structured.
  • Resilience, self-motivation, and follow-through across many accounts at once, without close supervision.
  • Ability to collaborate across Marketing, Finance, and Legal to close and service partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, active listening, and adaptability across client personalities and industries.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Travel & Schedule

  • Based on-site at EchoPark Speedway in Hampton, Georgia.
  • Standard business hours, generally Monday through Friday, with evening, weekend, and holiday work required around race weekends, client entertainment, and industry events.
  • Regular travel by car and air, including multi-day trips; a valid driver's license is required.
  • Seasonal workload, with heavier demand during peak sales periods and the event calendar.
