Job description

Salary: $20-$22

The Sign Designer Level I is responsible for creating designs for the sign design department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for opening client-supplied artwork and transferring it to production layouts.

Interprets corrections made by the sales team and adjusts production files accordingly.

Understanding of hi-resolution artwork for production.

Understand basic sign materials and how they are produced and installed.

Attend company and department meetings.

Demonstrate commitment to company core values.

All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Entry-leveldesign position, graphic design and creative background encouraged.

Production background encouraged.

Basic math and measuring skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Exceptional time management and verbal/written communication skills.

Ability to handle high-volume workload promptly.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to follow directions and is a quick learner.

Ability to communicate professionally.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma; one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business communication such as emails, letters, memos, notes. Ability to write business correspondence. Ability to verbally present information and respond to questions from Account Executives, managers/supervisors, clients, and colleagues.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as fractions, discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Measuring to 1/32.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
