The Senior Lease and Land Analyst plays a critical role in securing, managing, and optimizing thecompany's land and geothermal mineral assets. This position serves as the technical expert forlease administration, title analysis, land records management, contractual compliance, and realproperty due diligence across Zanskar's exploration and development portfolio. Working closelywith Development, Legal, GIS, Permitting, Finance, and Business Development, the SeniorLease and Land Analyst ensures our land assets are development-ready while minimizingcommercial and legal risk.

Outcomes – Problems You'll Solve

The Senior Lease & Land Analyst will lead and support all aspects of lease administration and land management, including:

  • Administer a portfolio of federal, state, tribal, and private geothermal, mineral, and surface leases from acquisition through commercial operations.
  • Prepare, review, negotiate, and administer leases, options, amendments, assignments, ratifications, easements, rights-of-way, surface use agreements, and other land contracts.
  • Track and ensure compliance with lease obligations, including bonus payments, rentals, royalties, primary terms, extension options, drilling commitments, continuous operations provisions, and contractual notice requirements.
  • Perform title analysis, ownership verification, and due diligence by reviewing deeds, leases, title opinions, probate records, ownership reports, and county land records.
  • Coordinate title curative activities with attorneys, landmen, title companies, and regulatory agencies to resolve ownership issues and maintain marketable title.
  • Support acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, financing transactions, and project development by conducting land and lease due diligence.
  • Maintain accurate land records, ownership databases, GIS mapping, and lease administration systems while ensuring data integrity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to secure site control, support permitting activities, manage rights-of-way, and facilitate project development schedules.
  • Prepare executive reports summarizing lease status, acreage position, contractual obligations, title risks, and project readiness.
  • Identify commercial, legal, and operational risks affecting land assets and recommend practical solutions that support business objectives.
Experience
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in lease administration, land administration, title analysis, or land management within the oil & gas, geothermal, mining, or energy industries.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large and complex lease portfolios across federal, state, tribal, and private lands.
  • Experience supporting exploration, drilling, development, and commercial operations.
Preferred Certifications
  • Certified Lease & Title Analyst (CLTA) – NALTA
  • GIS/ArcGIS or QGIS experience a plus
