Description:
The GARC IPS Event Manager serves as the principal operational coordinator supporting the GARC IPS Lead in the planning and execution of worldwide GARC sustainment, deployment, training, and fleet support activities. This role synchronizes personnel, logistics, deployment readiness, customer coordination, and internal planning efforts across multiple events and operational theaters. The position acts as a central integration point between IPS leadership, Mission Directors, Fleet Support Managers, Engineering, HR, Contracts, Security, Logistics, and deploying personnel to ensure operational readiness and successful execution of customer support requirements.
Assist the GARC IPS Lead with management of deployment schedules, operational priorities, and resource coordination across multiple events and customer taskings.
• Coordinate OCONUS deployment readiness activities including: SPOT and LOA tracking; Travel and lodging coordination; Base access documentation; Medical, passport, and visa requirements; Deployment checklists and personnel accountability.
• Maintain deployment status trackers, manning plans, and readiness dashboards for field personnel and support teams to include post-deployment activities (e.g. expense reporting)
• Coordinate with HR, IT, Security, Contracts, Finance, and Logistics teams to ensure deploying personnel and equipment meet operational requirements.
• Manage administrative and operational documentation within JIRA, SharePoint, and fleet support management systems.
• Support after-action reviews, lessons learned tracking, and continuous improvement of deployment and sustainment workflows.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, logistics, engineering technology, maritime operations, or related field preferred. Equivalent military or operational experience may be substituted.
• 3+ years of experience supporting operational logistics, deployment coordination, field operations, fleet support, or DoD sustainment activities.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing complex operational schedules in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with OCONUS deployment requirements, SPOT/LOA processes, and contractor support to U.S. military operations.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, JIRA, or similar task management tools.
• Ability to work independently while supporting executive-level operational planning and coordination.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance preferred; must be clearable.
