What is an executive in?

Executive In positions refer to high-level roles within an organization, such as Executive Director, Executive Vice President, or similar titles. These roles typically involve overseeing major departments or functions, making strategic decisions, and leading teams to achieve organizational goals. Executives are responsible for setting the vision, managing resources, and ensuring that the company meets its objectives. Their work often includes collaborating with other leaders, representing the organization externally, and driving innovation and growth.

What are some common challenges faced by executive assistants when supporting multiple executives, and how can these be managed effectively?

Executive Assistants often support more than one executive, which can create challenges such as managing conflicting priorities, coordinating multiple calendars, and handling a high volume of communications. To manage these effectively, strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and the ability to anticipate executives' needs are essential. Many successful Executive Assistants rely on digital tools for scheduling and task management, set clear expectations with each executive, and practice regular check-ins to stay aligned with shifting priorities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an executive assistant, and why are they important?

To excel as an Executive Assistant, you need exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in office administration, typically supported by a relevant degree or experience. Job description

Client Experience & Executive Assistant

High Country Drapery Designs (HCDD) is a premier custom drapery workroom serving interior designers and design-minded clients who expect impeccable craftsmanship and a refined, white-glove experience from first inquiry to final installation. We are seeking a polished, capable right hand to the owner — someone who can manage the details of a growing business with grace, precision, and genuine southern hospitality.

Position Summary

The Client Experience & Executive Assistant is a hybrid role supporting both the owner's day-to-day executive needs and the client-facing front end of the sales process. This is a role for someone who takes pride in being the first gracious impression a client receives, and who runs the owner's world behind the scenes with the same level of polish. Over time, this role has the potential to grow into two distinct positions as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities Client & Sales Support
  • Serve as the welcoming first point of contact for new and prospective clients, by phone and email.
  • Screen new client inquiries and qualify them for consultation.
  • Schedule and coordinate new client consultations.
  • Create polished slide presentations for all client quotes.
  • Order and manage sales supplies and materials for client-facing needs.
  • Coordinate marketing mailings.
Executive Support
  • Oversee and manage the owner's email inbox.
  • Answer and manage phone communications on the owner's behalf.
  • Draft and respond to correspondence on the owner's behalf.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for the owner.
  • Support select personal tasks for the owner as needed.
  • Manage CRM, scheduling, and email marketing platforms (full training provided).
How You Will Make an Impact
  • No prior industry experience required — we will teach you the software and the trade.
  • A true go-getter mentality with a track record of following through and checking things off the list.
  • Resourcefulness and sound critical thinking, especially when priorities shift.
  • A refined, polished presence in person, on the phone, and in writing.
  • Comfort managing multiple priorities for a busy executive in a fast-paced, growing business.
The HCDD Standard

We are looking for someone who carries themselves with the warmth, poise, and gracious hospitality of a true southern hostess — someone fluent in the art of making people feel welcome, who communicates with polish and discretion, and who can take charge of a room or a to-do list without ever losing their charm. This is southern etiquette paired with real intelligence and initiative: a person who is as comfortable greeting a client with warmth as they are solving a problem on their own before being asked.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $40,000–$48,000/year, commensurate with experience.
  • Year-end bonus.
  • Paid time off (PTO).
  • 401(k).
  • Cell phone reimbursement.
  • Mileage reimbursement.
Location & Schedule

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Chickamauga, Georgia. Target start: end of September 2026.
