Job description

Upstaged to Sell is an established home staging company serving Odessa and the greater Tampa Bay area. We blend strategic design, market-driven styling, and hands-on logistics to help sellers showcase homes for faster sales and higher offers—our team is collaborative, client-focused, and passionate about transforming spaces that photograph and sell.

About The Role

We’re hiring a Staging Assistant to support on-site staging, furniture placement, inventory management, and client-facing setup for turnkey home staging projects across Odessa, FL and surrounding neighborhoods. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, physically capable, and enjoys design-driven work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with furniture delivery, placement, and removal for occupied and vacant properties, ensuring staging aligns with design plans and seller goals
  • Handle packing, loading, and secure transport of staging inventory and décor
  • Maintain staging inventory: inspect, clean, catalog, and store furniture and accessories between projects
  • Execute styling touches—pillows, linens, art, plants, and lighting—to create cohesive visual impact for photos and showings
  • Coordinate with lead stagers, photographers, real estate agents, and homeowners to meet project timelines and client expectations
  • Provide exceptional customer service during installs and removals, representing Upstaged to Sell with professionalism

Qualifications And Skills

  • Previous experience in home staging, furniture handling, moving, interior design assistance, or related fields preferred
  • Physically able to lift and maneuver furniture (up to 40 lbs regularly), work on ladders for hanging artwork, and physical stamina to handle active staging days
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to follow design layouts and checklists accurately
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently or as part of a small team in residential settings
  • Good communication skills and a client-friendly demeanor for homeowner interactions and coordination with agents
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; this role requires travel within Odessa and the greater Tampa Bay region
  • Basic knowledge of staging principles, color, scale, and spatial planning is a plus

What You’ll Gain

Hands-on experience in professional home staging, exposure to residential real estate marketing, and opportunities for growth into lead stager or design coordinator roles. You’ll join a close-knit team where reliability, creativity, and a strong work ethic are recognized and rewarded.

Schedule, Compensation And Perks

  • Typical schedule includes weekday installs between 7:30am- 4:30pm
  • 10–20 hours/week to start with potential to grow based on performance and need; hours flex week to week
  • Starting at $18/hour with room for increase as the role evolves
  • Flexible scheduling options – Federal holidays recognized
  • Continuing education and staging certification opportunities

Who Will Thrive Here

You’ll excel if you’re dependable, meticulous, calm under deadline pressure, enjoy hands-on physical work, and take pride in creating polished, market-ready homes that photograph beautifully and sell quickly.
