JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Health & Wellness Director, the Health & Wellness Manager ensures the general well-being of residents by providing a system of services for residents in a manner and environment that provides dignity and full recognition of each resident’s individuality. Responsible for providing oversight of assigned clinical duties and operations. The Health and Wellness Manager will provide clinical expertise to assure the highest level of quality care for residents to achieve clinical excellence, as well as a holistic and resident-directed care focus.    The Health and Wellness Manager respectfully interacts with all residents, family members, visitors, colleagues, and staff.  This is a safety sensitive position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support the Health and Wellness Director in all aspects of clinical services, resident and staff satisfaction
  • Assist in creating and supporting a culture and environment that honors residents and their wishes and provides for continued opportunities for meaningful engagement and fulfillment for residents and staff
  • Provide quality professional care to the residents to ensure their health, safety, and security in accordance with state and federal regulatory guidelines
  • Coordinate and monitor work assignments of Health and Wellness Services personnel in collaboration with the Health and Wellness Director
  • Coordinate admissions and orient new residents to the facility, ensuring satisfactory integration
  • Responsible for infection control duties
  • Assist the Health and Wellness Director with personnel in their job functions including leave and attendance, preparation and presentation of performance reviews, and standards in accordance with position
  • In coordination with the Health and Wellness Director, ensure the Health and Wellness Department adheres to all current regulatory requirements governing all applied licenses
  • Maintain complete confidentiality
  • Listens to resident and family concerns and facilitates solutions
  • Communicate with physician, family, and health care providers regarding the changing condition of any resident
  • Keep current on all changes in the industry, particularly regulator changes
  • Participate in ongoing in-service education
  • Serve as a member of various management committees as assigned
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job

ESSENTIAL MENTAL AND PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed Practical Nurse with current Florida license
  • Two or more years of experience in senior living or health care required; household models and dementia experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Warm, outgoing, and compassionate personality with strong leadership and teamwork skills
  • Computer literacy which includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Office suite
