Account Executive - Health Brokerage

We are seeking a motivated and client-focused Account Executive to join our Health Brokerage team. Reporting to the Health Brokerage Sales Vice President, this individual will play a key role in both retaining our existing book of business and driving new sales growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about helping businesses find the right health insurance solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain proficiency in our full carrier and product portfolio, including fully-insured, level-funded, and self-funded plan designs

  • Support the Health Brokerage Sales VP with day-to-day sales activities, client calls, and account strategy

  • Prepare benefit illustrations, proposals, and presentations tailored to employer group needs

  • Respond to inbound service inquiries from agent partners and employer clients, including questions related to benefits, billing, and plan changes

  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within the existing book of business; assist in driving new client acquisition through referrals and outreach

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agent partners, HR contacts, and key decision-makers

  • Coordinate marketing campaigns and sales outreach initiatives, including email communications, events, and collateral distribution

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems, tracking client interactions, pipeline activity, and upcoming renewals

  • Support the annual renewal process by preparing renewal analyses and coordinating carrier communications

Competencies:

Required -

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, client-first approach

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and follow-through

Preferred -

  • Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Applied Epic, or similar)

  • Knowledge of small group and mid-market health insurance markets

  • 2+ years of experience in health insurance, employee benefits, or a related sales support role

  • Active Life & Health insurance license, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire

Compensation:

Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
