Combine a sound defense background with exceptional analytical and strategic skills. You will network with Department of Defense leadership and defense prime system contractors/integrators to build relationships to facilitate expanded sales opportunities. You will work closely with defense and government customers to identify and shape their near-term and long-term requirements. You will have a passion for defense markets and products, and an ability to communicate both technically and professionally at the highest levels.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary liaison for the military services in the Pentagon; and as required, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and other Executive Branch agencies
  • Foster new relationships and expand upon existing relationships with senior military leaders and Senior Executive Services (SES) members in the Pentagon to further the awareness of Honeywell Aerospace
  • Secure reprogramming requests to support out-of-cycle funding to support Honeywell Aerospace products and services to meet emerging and urgent military requirements
  • Develop and support strategic campaigns that leverage Honeywell Aerospace products and services to support current and emerging military requirements
  • Work directly with the Honeywell Aerospace government relations to shape, develop, and support execution of Honeywell Aerospace defense and space strategic priorities from the Pentagon to Congress
  • Analyze the Department's strategic documents, budget requests, operational requirements, unfunded requirement lists, and contract requirements to inform the business in bid decisions, development of cost strategies, and phase reviews to best position HON offerings
  • Secure reprogramming requests to support out-of-cycle funding to support Honeywell Aerospace products and services to meet emerging and urgent military requirements
  • Perform ongoing assessments of military requirements, determine market trends, and develop strategies to align Honeywell Aerospace capabilities and discriminators with the military customers
  • Engage and inform executive leadership with the voice of the customer and advocate internally for the actions, resources needed, and commitments necessary to win

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or engineering

WE VALUE
  • Master's degree in any related field is highly desired
  • USAF aviation, intelligence, and/or space related experience - F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office experience is a plus
  • Understanding, insight, and influence at major commands including but not limited to: Air Combat Command, Air Force Global Strike Command, Air Mobility Command, Air Force Materiel Command
  • Senior military officer (O-6 and above) with major command or acquisition center experience and/or SES/Civilian experience in government
  • Alternatively, 20+ years of Federal, DoD business development, capture, and/or operational experience with a proven track record of success in developing a robust pipeline and generating new business opportunities
  • Ability to access and maintain customer relationships with senior government officials (e.g., Colonel, General, Flag Officer, and Senior Executive Service)
  • Knowledge of the Pentagon, DoD budgeting process, and Office of Budget and Management
  • Strong understanding of DoD reprogramming request process, federal acquisition regulations, policies, and contract vehicles
  • Deep understanding of DOD requirements, acquisition (JCIDS, DAS, PPBES), sustainment funding, and multi-year budgeting process
  • Experience working with DoD prime system contractors/integrators
  • Active TS clearance preferred, and considered a plus, along with ability to achieve TS/SCI
  • Knowledge of Multi-Domain Operations, ABMS, JADC2 operational mission requirements
  • Knowledge of sustainment and mission support across the defense domain including aviation, ground vehicles, unmanned platforms
  • Ability to navigate non-traditional acquisition strategies to include RCO, SCO, IDIQ and OTAs

The annual base salary range for this position is $260,000-325,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
