About this Role:
Kinetic seeks a high-caliber Government Account Executive to drive infrastructure growth and digital transformation across the public sector. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and closing high-value fiber-optic, voice, and data networking opportunities within school districts, municipalities, and state agencies.
The Opportunity
As a Government Account Executive, you will act as a mission-critical partner to public sector leaders. You will leverage your expertise in government procurement and E-Rate funding to deliver high-capacity connectivity solutions that power essential community services and modern classrooms.
What You'll Do
  • Drive New Business: Prospect and close new fiber-optic and telecom contracts within the SLED vertical (State, Local, and Education).
  • Navigate Procurement: Expertly manage the end-to-end RFP/RFQ process and navigate complex government purchasing vehicles and contract vehicles.
  • E-Rate Mastery: Lead the strategic outreach for K-12 education accounts, maximizing opportunities through the E-Rate funding cycle.
  • Strategic Networking: Build and maintain deep-rooted relationships with CIOs, IT Directors, City Managers, and Purchasing Departments.
  • Solution Selling: Consult with clients to design bespoke networking solutions including Dedicated Internet Access (DIA), WAN/LAN, Hosted Voice, and Security.
  • Forecasting & Strategy: Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and develop territory-specific account plans to meet and exceed annual revenue targets.

What You Bring
  • Experience: 5+ years of outside sales experience, specifically within the SLED (State, Local, and Education) sector.
  • Telecom Knowledge: Deep understanding of fiber-optic technology, Ethernet, VoIP, and SD-WAN solutions.
  • Procurement Expertise: Familiarity with government bidding processes, public sector budget cycles, and the E-Rate program.
  • Relationship Driven: A proven ability to build long-term, trust-based partnerships with public officials and educational leaders.
  • Communication: Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to articulate technical value to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-Motivated: A hunter's mentality with the organizational skills to manage long, complex sales cycles.
