Job description

Organizational Location: This position is with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), Investigative Operations Division (IOD) located in one of the following locations:
  • Detroit, MI
  • Indianapolis, IN
  • Los Angeles, CA
  • San Francisco, CA
  • Washington, DC.

Qualifications:Experience: You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
  • Assisting lead mission support specialist with asset management functions, including budgeting, purchase card administration, and vehicle management within the local Area of Responsibility.
  • Maintaining and reviewing Continuity of Operations (COOP), Occupant Emergency Plan (OEP), and hazardous materials plans in coordination with management, and represented the office in meetings with safety officers and building safety committees.
  • Managing vehicles at both the local and Area of Responsibility (AOR) levels, ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining filing systems by controlling storage, arrangement, access, and use of files, and disposed of records in accordance with retention schedules, including confidential investigation files.

  • Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and
  • Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 09/04/2026.
