Job description


 

 Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant.

The Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) serves as a member of the Child Study Team as well as a support to general and special education teachers and students.  The LDTC reports to the Executive Director and Principal.
Job Requirements

  • Valid New Jersey educational services certification with Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant Endorsement
  • Successful completion of a master's program preferred
  • 3 years of teaching experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, learning assessment and diagnosis, the needs and demands of the classroom professional, and research related to learning, instructional strategies, and classroom management
  • Understanding of current rules and regulations regarding Child Study Teams and special education assessment and program requirements.
