Job description

When you're the best, we're the best. We instill an environment where employees feel engaged, satisfied and able to contribute their unique skills and talents while living and working as their authentic selves. We provide extensive opportunities for personal and professional development, building both employee competence and organizational capability to fuel exceptional performance through an inclusive environment both now and in the future.
Summary:
In this role, you will lead analytics strategy and execution supporting Kaiser Permanente's complex sourcing and category portfolio, transforming spend, utilization, market, supplier, and operational data into actionable insights that deliver measurable financial and organizational value. You will provide strategic analytics leadership to multidisciplinary teams, establish scalable analytical approaches and performance measures, and partner with Kaiser Permanente and Vizient leaders to inform sourcing strategies, evaluate opportunities, measure outcomes, and strengthen data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead analytics strategy and execution across complex sourcing and category initiatives, establishing analytical approaches that support strategic, financial, and operational objectives.
  • Direct advanced analyses of spend, utilization, supplier performance, market dynamics, pricing, and cost drivers to identify savings, standardization, and performance improvement opportunities.
  • Develop scalable analytical frameworks, methodologies, dashboards, and performance measures that improve visibility, consistency, and decision-making across the portfolio.
  • Translate complex data and analytical findings into actionable insights, business cases, and recommendations for executive-level client and Vizient stakeholders.
  • Partner with sourcing, supply chain, clinical, finance, and functional leaders to define analytical requirements and inform category strategies, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and implementation decisions.
  • Oversee analytics supporting RFI/RFP processes, including baseline development, supplier proposal evaluation, scenario modeling, financial analysis, and measurement of projected value.
  • Establish governance and quality standards that promote data accuracy, analytical integrity, consistent methodologies, and effective performance reporting.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and value realization, identifying emerging trends, risks, opportunities, and areas requiring additional analysis or intervention.
  • Lead and develop analytics talent while promoting advanced analytical capabilities, knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and effective use of emerging technologies.
  • Build trusted relationships with Kaiser Permanente and Vizient leaders, serving as a strategic analytics advisor and advancing analytics capabilities that support long-term client value.

Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Extensive experience leading analytics, business intelligence, decision support, financial analysis, supply chain analytics, or related functions within a complex organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate large, complex datasets into strategic insights, financial opportunities, and executive-level recommendations.
  • Experience with healthcare, supply chain, sourcing, procurement, or highly regulated enterprise environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of analytical methodologies, data visualization, performance measurement, financial modeling, and reporting practices.
  • Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams through complex, data-driven decisions.
  • Experience developing scalable analytical frameworks, governance standards, dashboards, and performance measurement approaches.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
