Executive Creative Director

Location: Hybrid (Prefer Philadelphia or Las Vegas Based)

Department: Creative

Reports To: Chief Creative Officer (or Chief Executive Officer)

Employment Type: Full-Time


Role Summary

The Executive Creative Director (ECD) is the senior-most creative authority within the agency and a core member of the leadership team. This individual is responsible for articulating and evolving the creative vision, overseeing all creative output, and ensuring cross-functional alignment with strategic and business goals. The ECD will champion creative innovation, mentor talent, and lead breakthrough campaigns that position our clients as category leaders.


Core Responsibilities

Creative Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and uphold a world-class creative standard across all accounts and deliverables.
  • Lead concept development, storytelling, and visual direction for integrated campaigns including digital, TV, experiential, social, and traditional media.
  • Ensure creative concepts align with brand strategy, regulatory considerations (particularly in gaming), and campaign KPIs.
  • Collaborate closely with Strategy, Media, and Production teams to deliver unified, compelling experiences.
  • Review and approve key deliverables such as creative briefs, sales decks, storyboards, visual comps, copy platforms, and final assets
  • Help develop and promote integration of AI capabilities where applicable.

Client Engagement

  • Serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to clients, offering thought leadership and creative insight.
  • Lead client presentations, pitch meetings, and creative reviews with clarity and confidence.
  • Translate client objectives into innovative and scalable creative ideas.

Team Management & Culture Building

  • Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing creative team across art, copy, design, content, and digital disciplines.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and feedback-oriented environment.
  • Conduct regular reviews, mentoring sessions, and career development planning.

Agency Growth & Operational Excellence

  • Contribute to agency vision, positioning, innovation and new business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with agency leadership on scope development, team resourcing, and process optimization.
  • Drive accountability to deadlines, budgets, and performance metrics without compromising creative integrity.


Qualifications

Experience

  • 15+ years of creative agency experience, including 5+ years in a senior creative leadership role.
  • Proven success with food & beverage and/or casino gaming brands; familiarity with legal and regulatory nuances in these industries.
  • Portfolio showcasing award-winning, multichannel campaigns and brand development work.
  • Prior experience leading teams of 10+ creatives across disciplines.

Skills

  • Strong creative instincts balanced with strategic thinking.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and workflow tools (Asana, Slack, Miro).
  • Experience with direct marketing, brand identity, and performance-based creative strategies.
  • Understanding of production workflows across digital, print, and video.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MFA or equivalent experience preferred.
